Alumna Recognized for Inspiring Social Change

Chloe Maxmin, a current student at Harvard University and a CIEE alumna who attend the CIEE Gap program in Shanghai, China in 2011 was recently awarded the Samantha Smith Award by Maine Women’s Fund. This award "recognizes a young woman who works to promote social change in her school or community, inspires girls to become active in supporting lasting changes, and makes a difference in the community." In 2013, Chloe was featured in Rolling Stone magazine for her devotion and passion for environmental activism as founder of First, Here, Then Everywhere . Watch the video from the 2013 Brower Youth Awards below:
